Learn More About One Hour Cares

And who we’re helping in Hampton Roads

Beginning December 2012, Todd Kletz saw the challenges that small organizations faced when raising funds or gaining exposure for their programs. Instead of donating to larger organizations, we’ve decided to focus on the little guys and girls of Hampton Roads. What started by giving away $1,000 each month, evolved into a quarterly, $5,000 giveaway. To date, we’ve given over $200,000 in donations! Our goal is to continue shining a light on good people doing great work in our community.

Our expenses include league entry fees, tournament fees, uniforms, and equipment fees. We will travel several out of state tournaments and just as important volunteering in our community.

757 Community Closet

757 Community Closet is an organization that provides free clothing & essentials to underserved communities. We also provide hygiene kits & brand new basic essentials such as t-shirts, socks, & undergarments to unhoused folks in the community. We set up at the Foodbank, a local church, & pop-ups in various cities. We also provide assistance to mothers through gently used baby items, diapers, clothing, & postpartum products.

ACCESS College Foundation

The ACCESS College Foundation is a privately funded, nonprofit organization with a unique continuum of college access/success services. ACCESS provides low-income students in Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach and Suffolk with educational pathways leading to certification or college degree attainment and career opportunities. Access Partnership

We connect those in need of health care to available resources. $5,000 would go to dental & supplies programs. Read posts by those we've helped: https://greatnonprofits.org/org/access-partnership.

Adopt-A-Student (Finalist 2014)

The Adopt-A-Student program helps homeless children in the Hampton Roads area receive their specific supply requirements and a new backpack before school and clothing and gifts for Christmas. $1000 a month would allow us to help an additional 10 children a month with their supplies or Christmas gifts. That’s a lot of smiling children here in Hampton Roads!

ADS Mission Give Back Foundation

The ADS Mission Give Back Foundation was organized to give back to those who serve. We do that both by supporting other 501(c)(3) organizations who share in our mission and through our annual scholarship fund, which gives scholarships to children of fallen or injured in the line of duty military or first responders. We would use the $5,000 for our next scholarship recipient and would be honored to say it was funded by this program.
