And who we’re helping in Hampton Roads
One Hour Cares donates $5,000 every quarter to a small local organization. We choose three finalists each time from the below directory and invite you to “like” your favorite on our homepage. The winner is chosen by a lottery system with chances to win based on the number of “likes” you give each finalist.
While only one finalist wins the $5,000 prize, we invite you to learn more about each organization and consider supporting them yourself. Our goal is to shine a light on some good people doing great work in our community.

Our expenses include league entry fees, tournament fees, uniforms, and equipment fees. We will travel several out of state tournaments and just as important volunteering in our community.

The Adopt-A-Student program helps homeless children in the Hampton Roads area receive their specific supply requirements and a new backpack before school and clothing and gifts for Christmas. $1000 a month would allow us to help an additional 10 children a month with their supplies or Christmas gifts. That’s a lot of smiling children here in Hampton Roads!

The ADS Mission Give Back Foundation was organized to give back to those who serve. We do that both by supporting other 501(c)(3) organizations who share in our mission and through our annual scholarship fund, which gives scholarships to children of fallen or injured in the line of duty military or first responders. We would use the $5,000 for our next scholarship recipient and would be honored to say it was funded by this program.
